This collection consists of research papers and personal notes on insects, worms, and maggots that attack sugar beets, tomatoes, corn, and other crops. It includes maps, graphs, essays, publications, committee budgets, meeting notes, and correspondence to and from Peay. The collection also includes photographs of various pests, pesticide dusting patterns and frequency data, as well as a copy of Walter Peay’s thesis, A Study of the Beet Leafhopper and Curly Top Disease in Four Varieties of Sugar Beets, Twin Falls Idaho, 1936-38, and related research notes. Most of the folder headings were transcribed from Peay’s original filing system.
