Scope and Contents
This six-box collection consists of typescripts and photocopies of diaries, family records, biographical sketches, and oral history interviews concerning the early settlers in Smithfield, Utah. The materials in this collection were collected and compiled by Lawrence Cantwell, a former resident of Smithfield. The diaries, family records, and biographical sketches have been organized alphabetically by the last name of the individual. The oral history interviews conducted by Lawrence Cantwell between 1970 and 1989 have been placed at the end of the collection and arranged alphabetically by the interviewee's last name.
