Hezekiah Sumner Hatch, Olive Baker Hatch, and Joseph A. Baker papers, 1905-1960
Scope and Contents
This four-box collection contains papers concerning the family of Hezekiah Sumner Hatch. The bulk of this collection consists of Hezekiah Sumner Hatch, Olive Baker Hatch, and Alice Fay Hatch's papers. These papers consist of correspondence, genealogical papers, and personal and professional papers which spans the period of 1905 to 1991. The remaining material in this collection is comprised of papers concerning various Hatch family members. Of particular interest is "The William H. Shepardson Letters," complied by L.B. Hogenson and L.B. Sudweeks in 1910 which concerns Shepardson's correspondence with Amenzo W. Baker of Mendon, Utah during 1886 and 1894 (Box 4, Fd 1).
Researcher Note: USU Special Collections and Archives also contains the papers of Hezekiah Sumner Hatch's grandfather, catalogued as Coll Mss 70: The Lorenzo Hill Hatch papers. In addition, USU Special Collections also contains papers concerning H.E. Hatch, Hezekiah Sumner Hatch's father, in the form of correspondence and a memorandum book (Book 131) found in Coll Mss 3: The Thatcher Brothers Banking Company Papers. Those interested in viewing the photographs of the H.S. Hatch family should inquire with the photograph curator.
