Scope and Contents

This six ledger/diary collection consists of three financial ledgers (1891-1942) and three LDS missionary diaries (1899-1901). The financial ledgers concern Mathew A. Forster and John E. Buckland. The missionary diaries concern Mathew McCullough Forster. Mathew McCullough Forster and Mathew A. Forster were cousins on their father's side, and both onetime residents of Mendon, Utah.

Books 1 and 2 were written by Mathew A. Forster when he operated a general store in Anaconda, Montana, and consist of the financial records of the store (1891-1992).

Book 3 contains a record of farmwork and payroll, recorded by John E. Buckland (1930-1942).

Books 4-6 are the missionary diaries of Mathew McCullough Forster (1899-1901).
