Factory Visits in China, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Bangladesh, 1997-2002
Scope and Contents
The Laura Miera Papers contain records from 1975 to 2017 pertaining to the early history and production of the outdoor company Marmot. The collection contains documents and photographs from Marmot’s early years, as well as copies of Marmot’s product catalogs from 1975 through 2006. The collection also contains hand-drawn designs and handwritten documents which detail the design process for a range of Marmot products. These sketches and documents provide insight into Marmot’s production process before it was computerized.
Laura Miera annotated the collection with sticky notes which provide additional information about many documents, pictures, and designs. These sticky notes were photocopied and are now paired with the materials they describe within the collection.
