Scope and Contents
The Edgar B. Brossard Collection consists of photos of Brossard and Cowley family members and LDS missionaries during the 1950's to 1960's. It documents Brossard's years as a student at the University of Minnesota, member of the U.S. Tariff Commission, and President of the New England and French LDS Missions. The collection also includes photos from Oxford and Preston, Idaho, Logan, Utah, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Washington D.C., and European trips taken prior to and after World War II. The Brossards also collected postcards from their travels in Europe and of LDS sites and temples. The age of the family photos range from the 1870's to the 1970's and the collection consists of approximately 1,283 images.
Photogravure prints were removed and transfered to the art collections in Special Collections. Non-nitrate negatives from boxes 1-7 were removed from the collection and put into box 11.
