From the Collection:

The Shoshone Indian portrait collection consists of three albumen images. Two of the images are unidentified, but one came from the photographers Charles S. Baker and Eli Johnston who ran a studio in Evanston, Wyoming. Baker & Johnson are best known for a series of images of Shoshone, Arapahoe, and Apache Indians. The photographs date from the 1870s to the 1880's.
