Scope and Contents
The Edward P. Cliff photograph collection consists of 114 images removed from the Edward P. Cliff manuscript collection MSS 13. The photographs are mostly publicity prints that document Mr. Cliff's career as a forester and a forest service employee including ceremonies, conferences, Forest Service activities, and meeting with high-ranking government officials as well as politicians (including JFK, and Lyndon B. Johnson). Also included are several photos of Woodsy Owl and Smokey the Bear. The majority of photographs are from 1962 to 1972.
