Photo taken from brochure advertising apple orchard subdivisions in nearby Trenton. Original Photo caption: A sugar beet field near Trenton. Beets in the section yield as high as 35 tons to the acre. The farmers receive $4.75 per tow. With two sugar factions nearby, the beet industry promises to be permanent. The tops and the pulp of the beets are retained by the farmer for his stock.
