Jardine Jupiter located in Logan Canyon. Discovered in 1923 by Maurice Lindford. Tree named (ca. 1925) for USU Alumni and then Secretary of Agriculture William M. Jardine. Photo taken May 6, 1924 by Dr. Henry C. Cowles. Shows Professor George R. Hill and Botany students who measured tree and counted rings, estimating age at 2800 years.
