Scope and Contents

Joseph Monson (1862-1932) of Richmond, Utah, represented North Cache County in first Utah State Legislature (Democrat). Attended Brigham Young College 1876-1879, worked as a carpenter on construction of the Logan LDS Temple, went on an LDS Mission to Norway in 1883, was elected a member of the Richmond City Council, 1892, elected to Territorial Assembly, 1893 and owned and operated a lumber company in Richmond, Utah.
