Scope and Contents

Black and white copy of the first ranch round-up crew in the state of Colorado. Probably oldest round-up picture in state. Original in Pioneer Museum, Colorado Springs. Note the flat topped Civil War period hats, though most riders used big sombreros. Most riders with whiskers or mustaches. High boots sleeves rolled down, shirts buttoned, no gloves. Some men identified on photo. From WPA History of Grazing, Colorado.
