"The Thin Grey Line". Jerry Ballard, Donna Sakamoto, and Pete Steele are BLM rangers from San Juan Canyon resource area who were responsible for two important arrests of four pot hunters. They are part of a thin grey line that attempts to protect an area lager than the state of Maryland. Pete is a longtime resident of the Montecello, UT area and a former guide, wise to the ways of pot hunting and extremely familiar with the back country.
