Adobe village, dogs, ladder, woman and child, "Scene at Pueblo Indian Village, San Juan", circa 1907
Content Description
Consists of 35 stereo-views taken by Charles A. Koch of Plateau City, Colorado, mostly from the San Juan Pueblo in New Mexico. Images were "Made Exclusively for E & R Chamita N.M." This refers to Samuel Eldodt and R.P. Rueth, who were a pair of locally prominent merchants and traders. Most of these images are of daily life in the pueblo, creating pottery, family groups, irrigation, carrying water, and the pueblo itself. Also included are of the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, and one photo from Espanola, New Mexico.
