Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection contains Jed Wasden’s documents concerning vocational education in Utah. There are research materials, budget records, and notes from legislative and other meetings. Also included are his correspondence and his personal files, many of which are related to the courses in which he was enrolled and later taught at universities across Utah. Much of the information concerns high schools in Utah, including the floor plans for the original workshops in Utah schools, handouts for high school students, and promotional materials for high school classes. Lastly, there is a small collection of Wasden’s own papers and speeches, including some talks prepared for religious lessons. This collection would be helpful for those studying the history of education, especially the topics of education in Utah and the history of vocational education.
