The Emily Richardson papers contain Emily Hammond Richardson’s professional and personal documents. The bulk of the collection consists of material regarding the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GWFC) of Utah. The GWFC of Utah portion of the material has a variety of documents, including several histories of the organization, documents regarding district, state, national and international conventions; copies of speeches given by Richardson and various other individuals; and also Richardson’s correspondence while she was an active member. The professional documents also include correspondence, programs, rosters, and other general documents from the various clubs, leagues and associations that Richardson affiliated with throughout her life.

The personal documents in this collection include Richardson’s correspondence with her first husband Datus M. Hammond, correspondence with her daughter Marie Hammond Vaughan, as well as personal diaries, family history material, biographies of her and her husbands, personal travel material and other assorted items.
