The Assorted USU Photographs Collection contains miscellaneous materials related to Utah State University (USU) that do not fit well within other collections and are not large enough to create their own collection. The subject matter is diverse and very broad, but highlights include photographs of or related to distance education, the mural in the Merrill-Cazier Library by Gaell Linstrom and Everette Thorpe, Romney Stadium construction, aerial photography, commencements, Taggart Student Center, Glee Club, and presidents George Emert and Kermit Hall.

Utah State University (USU or Utah State) is a public land-grant research university in Logan, Utah. Founded in 1888 as Utah's agricultural college, USU focused on science, engineering, agriculture, domestic arts, military science, and mechanic arts. The university offers programs in liberal arts, engineering, business, economics, natural resource sciences, as well as nationally ranked elementary and secondary education programs. It offers master’s and doctoral programs in humanities, social sciences, and STEM areas. It received its current name in 1957.
