Scope and Contents
Rudy Lukez’s papers include letters, newspaper clippings and reports pertaining to the activities of the Sierra Club’s Cache Valley Group during the 1980s and the Utah Chapter of the Sierra Club and Utah Wilderness Coalition during the 1990s. The two-box collection contains subject pieces arranged alphabetically and each folder is arranged chronologically when dates are available.

Biographical Note
Rudy Lukez grew up near Cleveland, Ohio and at the age of 22 in the 1980s, began work at Morton Thiokol in Brigham City, Utah as a rocket scientist. It was during this time that he served as chair for the Sierra Clubs’ Cache Valley Group. In the 1990s, he served as chair of the Utah Chapter of the Sierra Club and chair of the Utah Wilderness Coalition, an umbrella group of state wilderness preservation organizations.
