Nelson B. Wadsworth papers

 Collection
Identifier: UUS_COLL MSS 458

Scope and Contents

Nearly all of this collection retains Nelson Wadsworth’s original organization and filing as it is almost entirely made up of alphabetized folders created by Wadsworth. His folders include a wide variety of materials covering a wide variety of topics, most of which date from the 1960s through the 1980s and pertain specifically to Utah. Items listed in the inventory represent the titles Wadsworth gave to his files.

These files consist mainly of articles, newspapers, magazines, photographs, letters, and research. Major topics include journalism, photojournalism, Associated Press, the LDS church, Charles Roscoe Savage, Graflex cameras, BYU, and other regional topics.

Also included are three cassette tape recordings. The first two cassettes are of lecture recordings from a photo preservation conference held in Rochester, New York on March 3 and 4, 1980. The last cassette is of an interview recorded on March 7, 1980 of Theron T. Holden concerning the history of Folmer-Schwing Graflex Corporation.
