Oliver A. Jenson photograph collection
Scope and Contents
The Oliver A. Jenson Collection consists of 32 images, including portraits of Hans Jacob Christiansen and his descendants, as well as photographs of family and friends of LaNorma J. King, who was the daughter of Oliver A. Jenson, and great-granddaughter of Hans Jacob (H.J.) Christiansen. There are also photographs of Oliver A. Jenson working with cement mixing crews in and around Logan, Utah, as well as a photograph of a fourth grade class at the Webster School in 1926.

Biographical Note
Oliver Adams Jenson was born December 8, 1890, in Logan Utah, to Joseph Christenson Jenson and Elizabeth Ann Adams. Oliver was born with a twin sister, Hazel, who died a year later due to whooping cough. In 1893, Elizabeth Adams and another set of twins died during childbirth. Oliver's father, Joseph, then married Alice Girdlestone Smith in 1899 and moved to Arbon Valley Idaho in 1907. The Jensons went on to have a large family while working the farm in Idaho. Oliver A. Jenson married Thelma Vivian Blanchard January 11, 1916 in Ogden Utah. Thelma was the daughter of Elizabeth Dagmar Christiansen and the granddaughter of Han Jacob Christiansen. The Haroldsen family comes from Elise Anne Haroldsen, who was the wife of Hans Jacob Christiansen. Elise Haroldsen's father was Christopher Haroldsen of Norway.

Abstract
Thirty-two photographic images, including portraits of Hans Jacob Christiansen, Christian Marinus Peterson, and Christopher Haroldsen and family; as well as photographs of family and friends of LaNorma J. King (Oliver A. Jenson's daughter). There are also photographs of Oliver A. Jenson working with cement mixing crews in and around Logan, Utah, some 1937 photographs of Dan Berg camping at Round Mountain, Nevada, roping cattle, and a photograph of a fourth grade class at the Webster School in 1926.

The photographs in this collection were donated to Special Collections and Archives in 2006 by Karen Andreasen, Oliver A. Jenson's granddaughter.
