A.A. Thomas photograph collection
Scope and Contents
This collection includes postcards sent to A.A. Thomas while serving an LDS mission in Germany from the years 1897 to 1899. It also includes correspondence to the Thomas family from the years 1904 to 1911 while living in Richmond, Utah.
Additionally, the collection contains pictures and postcards from John "Jack" W. Carlson while on his mission in Sweden from the years 1916 to 1918 and various postcards from members of the Cache County community (Phebe Hyde, R. H. Hyde, P.E Lundstrom, Lousia Black, Mable Black, Henry Black, and Parley Black) spanning the years 1904 to 1921.

Biographical Note
Alfred August Thomas was born July 19, 1875 in Llandebie, Wales to David Palmer Thomas and Margaret Davis. The Thomas family emigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah soon after his birth. In 1897 Alfred left to serve an LDS mission in Germany until 1899. He served primarily in the cities Kiel and Bremen. Alfred and his family lived in Richmond, Utah until his death on October 29, 1919.
