Immediate Source of Acquisition
The originals came to Utah State University with Professor Wilson when he became the first director of USU's Folklore Program and the Fife Folklore Archives. When Professor Wilson returned to Brigham Young University in 1984, he made copies of all the BYU student collections and deposited the copies in the Fife Folklore Archives and he took the originals back to BYU. He also made a copy of all the Utah State University student fieldwork projects generated in his classes at USU and took them to BYU, leaving the originals at the Fife Folklore Archives. The collection was created in the early 1980's by Professor Wilson and Barbara [Garrett] [Walker] Lloyd.
