Scope and Contents
This collection contains the articles of incorporation, contracts, agreements, and assignments of patent rights of the Utah State University (USU) Foundation, also known as the USU Science Research Foundation, or the Utah Research and Patent Foundation. Also included are blueprints and schematic designs of James A. Hardman's pendulum mower drive, and affidavits, correspondence, and transcripts related to the question of ownership of the design. In addition, there is a folder of material related to the transfer of certain patent rights to the Utah Scientific Research Foundation in exchange for the building and equipment of the future Water Lab to the university.
