Content Description

The David Ingemie Papers are comprised of Snowsports Industries America (SIA) business materials, as well as programs, publications, publicity and other SIA materials. Materials related to the SIA’s 1989 merger and 1993 separation with the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) are also included, as well as material regarding the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.

Biographical / Historical

David Ingemie had a 40-year career with SnowSports Industries America (SIA), including serving as the organization's president, before retiring in 2016. The SIA trade association promoted more widespread enjoyment of snowsports, including working to legitimize emerging snowboarding and working with major companies and the US Olympic Committee.
