Biographical / Historical

Utah State University's Veterinary Medicine program was established in 2012 as part of the Washington-Idaho-Montana-Utah (WIMU) Regional Program, and operated under USU's College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences. In 2022, the Utah Legislature approved funding to establish a full four-year DVM degree program, creating USU's ninth college, The College of Veterinary Medicine. The first class of 4 year students began in the fall of 2024.
