Scope and Contents

Divided between six folders and five CDs, the Darrin Smith photograph collection consists of 138 digital images and 120 physical items. The images primarily pertain to the history of Logan and Cache County. Several images of former members of the community, such as W. Bennie Jaycee, J. Vernon Cook, and Phil West, are noted throughout the collection.

Biographical Note

Darrin Smith is a longtime resident of Cache Valley and an enthusiast of local, LDS, and Utah history. He graduated in 1990 with a degree in Communications from Utah State University, after which he began collecting antiques, photographs, and other memorabilia related to his historical interests. He has authored two books, Logan Reflections: Photographs Then, Now and In Between and How Beautiful: A Pictorial History of the Logan LDS Temple. The publication of his second book led to the production of a DVD of the same title.
