Scope and Contents

These papers comprise Dr. Bishop’s later career from 1992 to 2001, and include his service as both Dean of the College of Engineering and Provost, as well as his service to the Cache Valley community. The files are organized alphabetically. Of particular importance is documentation on USU’s Thailand Project from 1996 to 2001, and on expansion of the Logan/Cache Airport, where Bishop served as a member of the Airport Development Task Force.

Biographical Note

Bruce Bishop became a faculty member at USU in 1971, after having previously served in the U.S. Army. His main area of study was water resource allocation and planning. He was affiliated with the Utah Water Research Laboratory and also held rank in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Bishop was later appointed Dean of the College of Engineering, and was acting Provost under the presidency of George Emert.
