Biographical Note
Edna Lucille Larsen was born on February 18, 1903 to Rasmus Olaf and Anna J. Sorensen Larsen. She grew up in Logan, Utah, where she graduated with a degree in physical education from Utah State Agricultural College before attending the University of California-Berkeley for her BS and RN in nursing. Following graduation, she resided in San Francisco for ten years before returning to Logan to work as a nurse at the Cache Valley General Hospital. Larsen also became a supervisor in the Logan Hospital before her retirement at age 63. She then volunteered at Sunshine Terrace, a local nursing home, until she died on December 18, 1984.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
This collection was discovered within an envelope among correspondence of the Western American Literature journal (Coll Mss 68) and was separated to form its own collection. Western American Literature donated this material to USU Special Collections in 2012.
