Biographical Note

Mary L. Taggart was born December 28, 1916 in St. George, Utah, to Alma Cannon and Mary Ann Augusta Woods Lambert. After living in Salt Lake City and graduating from East High School, she worked in the Office of the Presiding Bishopric for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until her marriage to Fred Edis Taggart of Lewiston, Utah, on December 5, 1938. During her life she served as president of the Utah State Dairy Wives Association and served on many community service projects. On May 7, 1996, Mary died in Lewiston, Idaho.
