Robert B. Day papers

 Collection
Identifier: UUS_COLL MSS 404

Scope and Contents

The majority of this collection has to do with his research and notes for writing They Made Mormon History. The collection contains drafts of his work, notes and references, and photocopies from other repositories where he researched for his book. The notes for his book are generally divided among different subjects and are labeled. There are also folders containing copyright clearance letters from sources he cited in his book, along with a chapter that was taken out by his editors. Also in the collection are notes and drafts for an additional book, Joseph and Brigham: The Founder and the Builder, which does not appear to have been published. Other materials include records and other items from the Box Elder Stake, assorted newspaper clippings, and assignments from a short story course.
