There was no lull in anything during the day. Folks gathered around the platform near a new, tall concrete slide to hear talks by national speakers. Some of them came here for the national convention of Friends of the Land. Occasionally, the crowd moved here and there over the quarter-section to watch some portion of the mammoth task.
