The tree was originally used for an opening social in January 2024 for the Institute, but then it was in the library from early February through the end of March 2024. Currently it is located in the History Department office (MAIN 323).

This collection includes messages written by students, faculty and staff, and community members to express hopes for peaceful resolution to conflict and to represent a commitment to peace. These messages were tied to a tree and displayed for several months on the Utah State University Logan campus before being removed and archived. Also included are HPI newsletters. This is an open collection and will continue to grow as records and other materials are added.
