Abstract

The DeWitt/Palmer Family photograph collection consists of 104 black & white photographs copied out of an old family photo album belonging to Erin Palmer, a descendant of the families. The photographs date from the 1870s to the 1930s (with a few dating to the 1940s) and consist mainly of portraits and snapshots of the family. Included are recreation shots taken in Logan Canyon (fishing, hunting, and skiing) and of Soda Springs, Idaho.

Abstract 1,163 black & white and color photographs, 890 black & white negatives (4x5, 5x7, and 35 mm negatives), 48 black & white glass plate negatives, cyanotypes, duplicates and photocopies, and copies from pages in Mr. Somers' books. Most of the images were taken in Cache Valley (Utah and Idaho, Logan and Logan Canyon, Utah and the Bear River Range, Box Elder County and Southeastern Idaho).
