Abstract

The collection consists of 17 boxes of materials from Richmond’s history, dating from 1880 to 2009. It is divided into five categories: Richmond Preservation Society Papers; Family and Oral Histories; Richmond and Cache Valley History; Newspaper Clippings; Ephemera and Oversize Items.

Abstract

The Smithfield Oral History Project contains 37 interviews with residents of Smithfield, Utah. The majority of interviews were conducted by Lawrence Cantwell. William "Robert" Thornley had the items digitized, transcribed, and printed by the Clark and Gladys Thornley Foundation. Transcriptions made possible by a generous grant from the Utah Humanities Council/ Utah State History.

Scope and Contents Series I contains materials related to John Suiter’s early work documenting and photo-graphing the “literary landscapes” of Jack Kerouac in Lowell, Massachusetts, and Mexico. Abstract In 2010 the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter (Snyderville Basin, Park City, Utah) was donated to Utah State University, making it the largest gift in USU history. Known to native peoples as the “Hole in the Sky,” the preserve encompasses a 1,200 acre wildlife preserve and state of the art environmental education facility.
