Scope and Contents
UAMPS acquired its 7.028 percent undivided ownership interest in Unit 4 of the San Juan Station in 1994. The San Juan Station, located northwest of Farmington, New Mexico, provides 35 megawatts of capacity and energy through a coal-fired, steam-electric generating plant. Unit 4, in commercial operation since 1979, is jointly owned by the Public Service Company of New Mexico, the city of Farmington, New Mexico, the county of Los Alamos, New Mexico, and UAMPS.
