The Pantheon in Paris, France, 1940-1950
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of black-and-white photographs, commerical postcards, black-and-white and color slides, and negatives. The negatives are located in cold storage. The images from this collection were acquired by Freeman J. Byington during his time serving in the U.S. Military during World War II. The images are of various locations and landmarks in Europe, especially in Germany and France, but also includes Austria, Portugal, Spain, Norway, and the Netherlands. A few of the images are of soldiers in Europe, military training in Utah, and a parade in Logan, Utah. The collection also contains images of the Dachau and Ohrdruf concentration camps taken in 1945.
