 File — Box: 4, Folder: 4

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection contains tax pamphlets, letters, ledgers, newspaper articles, tax records, invoices, and other materials pertaining to the Duckville Hunting Club, largely from the last 20 years of the club’s existence. They contain information about the environmental changes that occurred in the 1970s and 1980s which resulted in the disintegration of the club as well as the James Perry v. Duckville Gun Club litigation which occurred between 1982 and 1984. There is also correspondence, including official mailings and letters from various club members. Notable communications include those from L. Howard Marcus and the Douglas F. Madsen, who both served as presidents of the club at different times. Finally, this collection also contains organizational records, including membership ledgers, articles of incorporation, and meeting minutes of the Board of Directors meetings and the annual club and stockholder meetings. For an interview of the club’s history see “Duckville,” written by Raye C. Ringholz (Box 1, Folder1).
