Marie Fuhriman Olsen oral history collection

 Collection
Identifier: UUS_FOLK COLL 50

Scope and Contents

The collection contains materials related to Marie Fuhriman Olsen's research interests, including Cache Valley residents and cities (especially Providence), aging, and USU President Daryl Chase and his administration (1954-1968). Each folder contains a brief information page (prepared by Special Collections staff) about the interviewee; this page is not included in the folder content description as it is not original to the collection. Materials include (but may not be included with each item): original cassette tapes, brief biographical information of the interviewees, transcripts, oral histories, news clippings, photographs (in negative format) and articles (written by Olsen from interviews she conducted). When included, cassette tapes are attached to the inside front cover of the folder. Because the collection came to USU in two different donations (1989 and 2001), some of the materials may be included twice. Althougth included together in this collection, boxes 6 and 7 were processed originally as a manuscript collection and were handled differently than boxes 1-5.
