Many, if not all of these tapes were produced as a part of the Community Improvement Through Local History Project funded by USU’s Kellogg Quality of Rural Life Program in the 1970s. They consist largely of oral histories with people across the state of Utah.

This collection includes oral histories, original interview cassette tapes, brief bios of the interviewees, transcriptions, news clippings, essays and photographs related to Marie Fuhriman Olsen's fieldwork and Cache Valley cities and residents (boxes 1-5). It also includes personal research and writings by Marie Fuhriman Olsen (boxes 6 and 7).

Miscellaneous documents including bills of lading, daily abstracts, daily balance sheets, way bills, and memorandum for cash book. Also includes circulars from the United States Railway Administration concerning freight tariffs.
