Abstract

The photographs in the collection were used or intended to be used in the magazine and consist of faculty and staff portraits, departmental photos, building projects, student artwork, athletics, speakers, USU alumni, events and scenes at Utah State University, Aggie supporters, and student affairs. Some of the photos are historical images made from existing Special Collections photographs.

Abstract Approximately 290 photographs (collodion, gelatin, carte-de-viste, tintype, cabinet card, etc.) dating from the 1860s to the 1960s. These originals were removed from the "A-board photograph collection" for preservation reasons and replaced with substitute copies. The A-board photograph collection contains photographs that were mounted onto boards, cataloged individually, and located in filing cabinets. Abstract Photographic portraits of 681 different faculty members, students, staff, award recipients, and speakers (including Paul Newman, Jack Anderson, and James Stewart) at Utah State University that were taken and collected for publicity reasons.
