John P. Taggart papers
John P. Taggart was the U.S. federal tax assessor in the Utah Territory from 1870 until 1874. The collection is made up of manuscript letters mailed to Taggart from a variety of merchants and individuals, all dealing with the selling and taxing of liquor in the Utah Territory.
