Abstract

The Asa "Wayne" Arrington photograph collection consists of 207 images including a handful of black and white photographs from WWII taken from 1943 to 1946 and include shots of Wayne Arrington in uniform, the crew on the deck of the USS Currier (DE-700), and images of Wayne and his brother Leonard from Oran, Algeria in July, 1944. The remaining photographs, taken between 1992 and 1999, are large group pictures taken at U.S.S. Currier reunions. Arrington appears in many of these images.

The 834 black & white and color photographs in this collection are mostly publicity photographs which document Cannon's duties (such as military parades, medal pinning ceremonies, graduation exercises, fund raising, inspections, retirements, visiting dignitaries, and high-level meetings) as an Air Force General; some black & white images also include negatives.
